I then stumbled upon the Elation Midicon, which seems to offer a bit more in the way of control/options. I know Chamsys sells a few companion pieces for this purpose such as the Mini Wing, but it seems a little expensive to me. (If someone knows of good ways to run it via just a mouse and keyboard, I am totally open to doing that). I've downloaded and briefly tinkered with a couple different software based control options such as MagicQ and these look to be the best bet there's a lot of power within the software, but I don't want to control them through the PC Interface as the majority of what I'll be doing is live busking and it seems like it'll be clunky to do so on a laptop. I currently have a Chauvet Stage Designer 50 which, for the couple hundred bucks it cost, is surprisingly versatile, but I want something with a little more quality and capability.
